When roasting food in a hooded or kettle barbecue (or even gas or electric oven), just slip one of these planks between the food and the grill. The food slowly roasts as the plank gives off wonderful aromatic smoke enhancing the taste of your food.

DIRECTIONS Soak the plank for a few hours in water (beer or wine) before use. Place food on plank. Place plank on grill. Put lid on barbecue and leave to cook. Immerse plank into water immediately after use to extinguish. The plank will be slowly consummed but can be reused many times as sufficient remains.
